The Air Jordan 3 Chlorophyll is a special edition of the third Air Jordan that pays tribute to another sneaker that was also designed by Tinker Hatfield. The light grey, white, black, and green color scheme is a reference to the original Air Trainer 1, the cross-training model that ushered in a whole new category of footwear after it debuted in 1987 — one year before Hatfield Air Jordan 3 was released. The Air Jordan 3 Chlorophyll is part of a Tinker Hatfield pack of Air Jordan retros that released in 2018 featuring recognizable colorways of other landmark models designed by Hatfield in the late 1980s and early ‘90s.
