The SB x Air Jordan 1 Defiant LA to Chicago AKA Court Purple is one of two collaborative colorways released by 's skateboarding division and Jordan Brand in 2019. The unique editions of the Jordan 1 have the leather on the upper painted in one color combination, while a second colorway is hidden underneath. The bottom layer can be revealed as the top layer of paint is worn away. This Court Purple edition of the Air Jordan 1 features a purple, white, and yellow combination that is inspired by a rare original sample of the shoe from 1985 in Los Angeles Lakers team colors. When the top layer is worn off, the original Chicago colorway is revealed underneath. The limited edition SB x Air Jordan 1 LA to Chicago released on May 25, 2019.
